What this app does with your Google data

Short and specific, because you are trusting it with access to a Google account.

What it can read

One Google permission: Google Ads. Google offers a single permission for the Google Ads API, and the connector uses it only for read-only Keyword Planner requests and to list your accounts. It also sees your email address, so it can recognise your connection.

What it stores

An encrypted access credential, your email address, the Google Ads account you choose, and a short usage log with no keywords and no results in it.

What it never stores

The keywords you ask about and the results you get back. They pass through to answer your request and are not kept.

What you control

Disconnect in your assistant, or revoke access at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Email me to have everything deleted.

Keyword Planner MCP’ use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Questions

Do I need a Google Ads account?

You need a Google account. If it has no Google Ads account, you can use the default account provided, which has lower daily limits. The account does not need running campaigns or any ad spend, but it must be active. Google refuses requests for accounts that were cancelled or never finished setup, and the connector will tell you if that happens.

Is it free?

Yes. Keyword Planner MCP is free to use. Google limits how many requests are allowed per day across all users of the connector, so very heavy use may be paced.

Where do the numbers come from?

Directly from Google Ads Keyword Planner, through the official Google Ads API. They are Google’s own estimates, often shown as rounded ranges, so treat them as a guide for planning rather than exact counts.

Does it change anything in my Google Ads account?

No. It runs Keyword Planner research and lists your accounts. It never creates or edits campaigns, ads, budgets or settings.

Which AI assistants does it work with?

Claude on the web works today through the hosted connector. The local install works with Claude Desktop, Claude Code and other clients that support MCP, the Model Context Protocol. ChatGPT support has not been tested yet.

How do I disconnect and delete my data?

Remove the connector in your AI assistant, or revoke access at myaccount.google.com/permissions, which stops it straight away. To have everything I hold about you deleted, email hello@afeezadebayo.com. The privacy policy explains exactly what is stored.

Who built it?

I did. I’m Afeez Adebayo, a marketing, growth and SEO practitioner with over 12 years of experience. The code for the local version is open source under the MIT licence on GitHub.
