Frequently asked questions
Which marketing skill should I learn first?
Start with the skill closest to work you already do or enjoy. If you like systems and data, start with technical SEO or analytics. If you like writing, start with content or copywriting. Most careers combine one deep skill with working knowledge of two or three neighbours, so the first choice is a starting point, not a life sentence.
Are the resources free?
Most of them are. Every path is built free-first, using official documentation, free courses and free tool plans. Paid courses or tools appear only where nothing free does the job as well, and each one is labelled Paid so you can decide.
How long does it take to go from 0 to 100?
It depends on the skill and the hours you put in. As a rough guide, the foundations take weeks, the core skills a few months and real competence comes from a year or more of practice on live projects. The stages are milestones, not deadlines.
Do I need a degree to work in marketing?
No. Employers in most marketing roles hire on evidence of skill: projects, results and how you explain your thinking. That is why every stage in these paths ends with a project you can show, which is worth more in an interview than a certificate on its own.
Is this guide really free?
Yes. Every learning path is built free-first, using free courses, official documentation, video tutorials, practitioner guides and free tool plans. Paid courses or tools appear only where nothing free does the job as well, and each one is clearly labelled Paid so you can decide whether it's worth it.
