Marketing attribution consultant
I build measurement that shows which channels bring customers who go on to activate, and I state each model's limits plainly. Ecobank's attribution pipeline cut drop-offs by 18%.
What I do
Models that fit the funnel
I choose an attribution model that fits how customers actually buy, compare it with first-touch and last-touch views, and state its limits plainly. Where spend is large, I back it with incrementality tests.
Attribution from first touch to activation
A click is not a customer. At Ecobank I built a pipeline that followed customers from acquisition to activation, which reduced funnel drop-offs by 18%.
Reporting by channel
I report results by channel on the outcome that matters. At Erudite Agency I ran SEO, paid search and data attribution for UK and US brands, with organic contributing at least 30% of client revenue.
Knowing the source of sales and sign-ups
Knowing where customers come from changes where effort goes. Organic search accounted for 51% of all JerseyGram sales and 56% of Topship sign-ups, which is why each source needs tracking to the outcome.
How I work
- 1
Define the conversion
Agree the one outcome that counts, such as a sale, a deposit or an activated user, before any model is chosen.
- 2
Audit the tracking
Check tags, UTMs and event definitions, and reconcile them with source data such as sales or deposits.
- 3
Compare the models
Read the same data through first-touch, last-touch and data-driven views, and note where they disagree.
- 4
Test what is incremental
Where spend is large, use holdout or lift tests to see what the budget adds beyond what would have happened anyway.
- 5
Report with limits
Share the numbers with their known gaps, and end every report with a recommendation and an owner.

Questions
What is marketing attribution?
It is the method for deciding which channels and touchpoints get credit for a sign-up or sale, so a team knows where to put the next pound or dollar. Every model is a simplification, so I state its limits and check it against other views before anyone moves budget.
Why do platform reports not match revenue?
Each platform counts its own conversions, often with different windows and no view of other channels, so the totals overlap. I define one conversion, check tags and UTMs, and reconcile the numbers with source data such as sales or deposits. Any gap that remains is reported with its size.
How do you track customers from acquisition to activation?
I follow the customer past the click to the action that signals value. At Ecobank, the customer attribution pipeline I built ran from acquisition to activation and reduced funnel drop-offs by 18%. For a SaaS product, the same approach ties each source to the key action, not the registration.
When is incrementality testing worth it?
When spend is large enough that a wrong call is costly, or when a channel claims more credit than it seems to earn. A holdout or lift test shows what would have happened without the spend. For small budgets, a consistent model and clean tracking cost less and are usually enough.
How does attribution change SEO and paid decisions?
It shows which sources bring in customers, not only traffic. Organic search accounted for 51% of JerseyGram sales and 56% of Topship sign-ups. A figure like that exists only when each source is tracked to the outcome, and it lets a team weigh more pages against more ads.
